  • Richard Stocking

    President and Chief Executive Officer

    Richard serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. Richard has served as President since July 2010 and as President and Chief Operating Officer of Swift Transportation Co. of Arizona, LLC, since January 2009, and has been part of the Swift family for a total of 24 years. Richard has served in other leadership capacities such as Executive Vice President of Sales and Regional Vice President of Operations. Implementing many leadership and execution principles, such as the “Four Disciplines of Execution,” Richard has been able to lead Swift to achieve record performance outcomes in many areas. It’s embracing these core fundamentals that allowed Richard to lead Swift through major restructurings including a privatization and the largest truckload IPO in history. He is married and has three sons. Richard continues to be an active member of his community and is associated with numerous industry organizations and non-profits.

  • Ginnie Henkels

    Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

    Ginnie Henkels has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since May 2008. Ginnie joined Swift in 2004 and was the Assistant Treasurer and Investor Relations Officer prior to her current role. Before joining Swift, Ginnie served in various finance and accounting leadership roles for Honeywell during a 12 year tenure. During this time, she served as the Director of Financial, Planning and Reporting for Honeywell's Industrial Control business segment, as Finance Manager of the Building Controls segment in the United Kingdom, and as Manager of External Corporate Reporting, among other roles. Ginnie completed her Bachelor's degree in Finance and Real Estate at the University of Arizona, obtained her MBA from Arizona State University, and passed the May 1995 CPA examination.

  • Kenneth C. Runnels

    Executive Vice President of Operations

    Ken Runnels has served as Executive Vice President of Operations since December 2007. His current responsibilities include overseeing all of the Dry, Dedicated and Linehaul operations. Ken began his career with Swift Transportation in 1983 as a log auditor, and over the next few years was quickly promoted through various operations positions and was promoted to Terminal Manager in March of 1989. Since 1983 Ken has held a myriad of positions, including Terminal Manager at several locations, Regional Vice President, and Vice President of Fleet Operations. With the exception of a brief period from July 2006 to November 2007, Ken has spent his transportation career with Swift. Ken helped grow Swift from a 140 truck operation in 1983 to our current truck count of 18,000.

  • Mike Ruchensky

    Vice President and Chief Information Officer

    Mike Ruchensky has served as Vice President/Chief Information Officer of Swift Transportation since December 2003. From 2002 to November 2003, Mr. Ruchensky served as Chief Operating Officer for the shipping division of Ja-Del, Inc. From 1996 to 2002, Mr. Ruchensky served as the Vice President of Operations/Information Systems for Wolferman’s. From 1980 through 1996, Mr. Ruchensky worked for AlliedSignal, where he held a series of progressively responsible positions in Information Systems. Mr. Ruchensky holds a BA in Accounting from Ottawa University and an MBA from Baker University.

  • Steve Van Kirk

    Executive Vice President, Swift Intermodal

    Steve Van Kirk is currently the EVP of Swift Intermodal. Prior to joining Swift he served in various operation and management positions for Schneider National in the course of an 11-year tenure. During this time, Steve was appointed Sr. VP of Intermodal Commercial Management in 2007. Mr. Van Kirk began his logistics and transportation career in 1996 with Procter & Gamble where he spent 5 years and held a variety of management positions. Prior to joining Procter & Gamble, he served 12 years on active duty in the US Army as an infantry officer both in the US and overseas, and retired from the US Army Reserve in 2004.

    Mr. Van Kirk holds a BS in Engineering from West Point, an MA in History from Yale University and an MBA in Finance from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He is affiliated with the Intermodal Association of North America as well as the National Freight Transportation Association (NFTA).

  • Chad Killebrew

    Executive Vice President of Operations

    Chad E. Killebrew has served as Executive Vice President of Operations since June 2016.  His current responsibilities include: Dry Dedicated Operations, Swift Logistics, Business Intelligence and Transformation, Safety, the Owner Operator Division and IEL.  Chad has been with Swift for 17 years.  Recent roles include President of IEL, VP of the Owner Operator Division and Executive Vice President of Business Transformation.  Additionally, Chad has held positions in administration, customer service, planning, and driver recruiting.  
    Chad holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Utah, an MBA from Westminster College and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Entrepreneurship and Strategy Program at the University of Utah.
